Back to the start Again :)

Hi everyone i'm Laura. This is my second time joining Slimming world. I went for a few weeks last year and lost a stone but then left :(

I'm the heaviest iv ever been at the minute, 14st 5lbs. :(

I was 9 and a half stone at my lightest but that was when i was 18.

I then reached 14 stone by eating and drinking an awful amount of crap. I felt really uncomfortable and managed to get down to 11.5 stone on my own. Then i moved in with my boyfriend and over the course of a year and a half managed to put nearly every pound back on. Thats when I joined slimming world last year. I was 13st 12lb.

So my meeting is tonight and I'm going to jump back into it with both feet and really give it a go. I have two weddings and a hen night in the summer and would like to be feeling more like myself by then.

Edit to say: Oh my god guys I just saw on the left my BMI is 32.4. Wow. I forgot to add that i had a lot of health problems over the last year and ended up in intensive care so i spent a lot of time recovering after that and was very sedentry, on my couch eating :).
 
Hi Laura :)

Well done for getting back on it and going to a class tonight - let us know how you get on.

We have very similar starting weights, and like you, I piled on most of my weight when my boyfriend (my now husband!) and I moved in together. Think I was around 10 stone before that, so pretty much a gain of nearly 4 & a half stone over 4 or 5 years.

Post back tonight and let us know how you got on at class :)

I know exactly how you feel. My boyfriend lived on his own before me and NEVER cooked. takeaways every night but hes just made to be tall and lean I think. He's over 6 ft and never puts on much weight. Most annoying thing ever :) I look at a takeaway and put on two pounds.

Picked up some nice recipies in my meeting last night sop cant wait to try them out.

For breakfast I had my healthy a 2 slices wholemeal bread, no butter or mayo, half a tomato and two lean rashers with no vis fat. It was yum :)
Just had lunch there, baked potatoe, sweetcorn, chicken and a tablespoon of helmens light mayo (2 syns). So feeling good about my day so far. To be fair the evening is my hardest time with dinner and tea and biscuits and cakes.
 
I too am very much the same . At my heaviest I was 14 stone 2 but with lots of gym work managed to get to 11 stone 13lb on my own. Gradually put weight back on and decided to join Slimming world for the first time 4 weeks ago and weighed in at 13 stone 11.5 lbs. Want to get to 10 stone 4 by October and stay that way forever like all my friends manage to ! How ?????? Good luck

That's great that you're feeling motivated and like you say - the only way is down from now!
