I have been on CD for 15 weeks, i love the weight loss, but lately I have become bored and tired of cd, its so anti-social people everywhere eating and drinking nice things and i dont mean naughty food, im tired of not eating and drinking i know its not forever and soon i will be eating nice healthy food but how do you keep the momentum going,:(

God knows, the weight loss each week keeps you going, wanting to change the way I eat and just wanting to achieve my dream of being a slim jim for once in my life, but i cannot lie it does get hard at times, for most of it i have found it to be quite easy, but lately I just miss the social side to eating, I probably just need to remind myself why I started this diet in the first place to keep me going. Think ive just answerd my own post.

I know I'm fed up a wee bit too, but it comes and goes, and no other diet, even one where I get to eat and drink would give me the results like this. So I do sit and weigh up, weight vs social, and the weight wins every time. :)

In terms of timescale, I'm thinking of it as a few months out of my 44 years. I could 'diet' for a couple of years on conventional plans (and frequently have done) without much success as I have learned to cheat within the rules (I should be an MP ;)) and have ended up a couple of stone closer to my goal, without ever really reaching it. I therefore come 'off' my 'diet' and you don't need to be psychic to know what happens next - back where I started, which then ruins any motivation for the next time as I think 'Ah, what's the point?'

I know what you mean its sooo hard when everyone around you is eating "normal"food, god knows I've found it very hard for quite a few weeks now and admit I haven't been 100%, its espcially hard when my husband and daugher are both superslim (daughter a size 6-8) and can eat what ever they want and not out on weight!

Wow Lin - congratulations in loosing over 73lbs since the start of the year - that is amazing and you look so great in your photos!

I wish I had started CD at the start of the year rather than at Easter, in those weeks I was eating and drinking and putting on weight whilst you were making a change and loosing weight.

In the greater scheme of things you are so far down your weight loss journey, hang in there, watch the rest of the lbs come off and when you are back in the swing of things just think how fabulous you will look, how healthy you will be and how blooming proud of yourself you will be!

I know how you feel Lin and I'm only on week 4! I had a very hard day yesterday and I think its worse because I only lost a lb last week even though Ive been 100%. It does get really hard not eating and socialising with my family and friends. I dont know what I'll do if I dont have a decent loss next week, think it might tip me over the edge!! :p
Lin, I have been bored from day one but as you say the weightloss keeps you going.....
You havent got that much left to go, a couple of months and you will be almost at goal!
You are doing so well...
I couldnt believe I could get this far, starting week 9 today, but it's something we do to get what we really really want...
Don't give up Lin, you will be there very soon!

Im at that stage as well. I so want to get to goal but at the same time I kind of think "ive lost so much" that I allow myself to cheat occasionally because Im so close to goal and bored and hungry. WHich I wouldnt advise btw. Just maybe move up one or two plans to keep you going for a couple of weeks then go back on SS?

I agree about moving up the plans for a week I didthat this week and enjoyed it! And now I am ready for sole source for another 4 weeks. Am going to not get weighed in that time and I hope to see a stone gone when I do!
