1lb of lean stewing steak - if you use take all visible fat off it will be Free on EE/Red
4 cloves of garlic minced - Free
1pint beef stock - Free
330ml Guinness - 6 syns
190ml of red wine - 6.5 syns
200g tom puree - Are you sure that's right? 200g of tomatoes/passata or 2 tbsp of tomato puree would be OK, but not 200g of tomato puree? Anyway, tomato puree is 0.5 syns per tbsp.
dryed thyme - Free
1tbs Worcestershire sauce - Free
2 bay leaves - Free
2lb baby potatoes - Free on EE/Green
1 large onion - Free
3 large carrots - Free

So about 13-14 syns for the whole thing assuming it means 2tbsp tomato puree and not 200g.

sorry yeah its 2 tbsp of tom puree
so would passatta or tinned toms be better???

Between passata or tinned toms? Personal preference really. I prefer chopped tinned, other people prefer passata. I think for a stew chopped would be better.
