can you freeze cooked rice?

i have just cooked some rice and frozen veg ready to take to work tomrrow for my lunch and have cooked way to much, didnt want to wasts it and wondered if i can freeze it?

Yep cooked rice can be frozen and defrosted in the mic etc. Before SW my wife used to freeze curry and rice in batches for the week, no wonder I got fat ...lol !

I've frozen rice before now. As long as you thaw it properly & thoroughly reheat it, it seems to be ok. You can buy frozen rice from Iceland, so I thought if they can do it...!

Watch out though, if the veg was frozen originally, I wouldn't re-freeze it now it's cooked!? - Rice should be fine frozen generally though.
