Complete newbie - very confused!

I am wanting to start slimming world but am so confused by free foods, healthy extras, syns etc. I'm not joining a group as I can't afford it and don't need to pay someone to weigh me.

Is there anywhere I can find a simple explanation or similar as I'm so confused right now!!
 
Hi Sparkles - don't think you're on your own, this plea has been voiced over & over again.

If you scroll up on the same thread you posted this on, you'll see 2 or 3 Sticky's that should answer all your questions - Welcome Newbie's, SW from Home, Common Misconceptions etc. There's also another newbie who posted a plea a couple of days ago, so scroll down a few posts from your own - I think there were 19 replies to that one so again, you might find enlightenment there.

You will find the basics in the thread for newbies a bit further up the page. But to be honest it is going to be pretty much impossible to follow the plan without at least having the food optimising book. I would suggest going along to class, even if only for one week, so you can get the up to date books , consultant intro and access to the SW website for a few weeks until you get your head around it a bit :)

I have to say I agree with what Patchwork Puss has said here. It's going to be difficult without the books and knowledge of basic syn values, so if I were you I'd go along to a class, even if it's only one. Good luck!!
 
Thanks for the replies. I think I have the food optimising book, my friend sent me some ebooks. Will need to have a look at it. Will look at those threads too.
