Doing slimming world at home

Hi. I've been a yo yo dieter for years but now trying to stick to slimming world at home because I hate the pressure in groups. I have IBS (so trying to follow low fodmap) and my monthly cycles aren't just once a month they are twice a month which is a nightmare. Long story short, due to this I am struggling badly as I normally put on anything up to 4lbs those weeks and it then disheartens me so I end up failing miserably, but this time I really don't want to. Does anyone have any tips for me please? Thanks

You'll see some other SW-ers at home in earlier threads here on introductions and in the SW forum here. Not all SW folk read intros - so post yr question in the SW area on here too.

Hello and welcome.

There is a SW community here so u can start by looking at some of the diaries there for some motivation. Maybe start a diary if your own.
I don't do SW personally but I do find that posting here daily not only helps me realise what I'm eating and when I'm eating it but as I always make a point to put down how I'm feeling I can see at which points things are getting me down etc. Recently when I started I can see in my diary that I had horrible headaches and lethargy but I still powered on and stuck to my plan and in three weeks I've lost a stone and feel really good. Then just today I made an effort with hair and make up and wore something that isn't washed out leggings with a baggy top and trainers and I actually feel really good about myself. You can too so long as you don't get disheartened when the scales don't play ball. Here is also a good place to record non scale victories which are just as important.

Sometimes SW people also post in Weight diaries - https://www.minimins.com/forums/weight-loss-diaries.13/ you have to have a few posts to see those.
You can join in and comment on any post anyone else anywhere posts!
Do you want to add the info under your name on current weight and goal weight? Or do your signature?
