Yesterday was Day 1 - I found it really easy! No hunger at all and could even have done without my 4th shake but enjoyed it anyway as I've realised how important it is to keep your protein level up on this diet. So far I've tried the chocolate, crispy chocolate and vanilla caramel shakes and really liked them all, the chocolate one is my favourite though. Drank loads of water too. My OH was very nice and bought me a big bottle of Coke Zero but I've not touched it yet - think I'll keep it for when I really need something a bit different.

Day 2 today and so far had 2 shakes.

I explained the diet to my OH and he said 'But you don't need to go on a diet'! It's lovely he thinks that way but unfortunately I do need to lose weight, I'm now a size 14/16 and want to get back to the size 8/10 I was 3 years ago.

Hoping I find every day is as easy as it's been so far! :)

On to day 3 now and still not experienced any real hunger - which is great and totally not what I expected! I'm really looking forward to my next delivery of packs which should hopefully get here tomorrow.

Went to bed last night feeling much more tired than usual and with a bit of a headache. Still had the headache when I woke up so took some painkillers and it's sorted now :)

Hey Ellewoods, lucky for you no hunger!! The tiredness and the headache usually go after about a week, I found myself about day 5 was the worst and then it got much easier.

Keep up the good work xx

Oh that's good to hear, I'm still quite tired but the headache hasn't come back thank goodness :)

Day 4 and I think I'm in ketosis (nasty, nasty breath and taste in my mouth). My mum sent me a Graze box and I didn't even open it, gave it to my OH to eat whereas in the past I've eaten the whole lot in one go. Really like the way I'm being forced to pay attention to what I'm eating and portion sizes. I got a delivery from Save & Slim and had the macaroni cheese for the first time, with broccoli and cauliflower, which I really liked. Also had a chocolate coconut bar which I enjoyed but I think I'll avoid the bars for a while as it made me want to binge just for the sake of it.

Things are still going to plan. My only willpower testing moment has been when OH brought home 35 bars of chocolate! He is also teasing me a lot and offering me food and doesn't believe me when I say I'm not hungry. I've told him to quit it and be more supportive.

Can't believe I've made it to day 17 and managed to stay 100% the whole way through!

Now my appetite has totally and utterly disappeared and I'm actually struggling to have my 4 packs each day. Yesterday evening I realised I'd only had 3 packs and had to force myself to down a shake. I wonder why this happens? I'm thinking either my body has completely adapted to ketosis or my tummy is shrinking and needs smaller amounts of food. The reason for my weight gain in the first place was excessive emotional overeating so it really feels great to be free from the constant urge to eat!

I'm not weighing myself at all but have lost major inches, especially around my waist - if only my hips/bum would catch up :)

I felt so miserable about my weight today. It's been such lovely sunny weather and I can't fit into any of my summer clothes yet. I literally have one outfit I can wear just now, leggings and a long vest, but I feel so exposed as I'm used to covering up with big jumpers and cardigans. I feel like the weight I've lost on my top half only makes my massive hips look even more ridiculous!
