Oh can I join please?

I'd like to lose 7.4 pounds in Feb to get to my next mini goal! It's a challenge as will be on hols for a week and then a weekend in feb (am on holiday now but sticking to low carb - she says polishing her halo!!!).

Hi Laura,
There are a few in recipe section, I'm thinking of chicken wrapped in bacon stuffed with cheese tonight with a load of veggies x

One of my favourites is lay lots of spinach in a oven proof bowl. Lay salmon fillet on top and season (and add crushed chillies if you like spicy food), then make the 'best ever cheese sauce' in the recipe section. Pour sauce over fish and bake in the oven 180'C for 20 mins (cooked through but very moist or less if you like it pink in the middle).

You can also add a few cherry tomatoes to the dish.

So easy and delicious!

Just wondered has anyone else used ketosticks to see if they are in ketosis?? And how long do u stay in ketosis for will it start to wear off after a few weeks? My sticks are getting lighter each time after 3 weeks of induction xx

I've never used, but I'm sure the sticks only show the excess ketones and once you've been in ketosis a while your body starts using them more effiently so you don't show as much but ur still in ketosis.... I'm sure somebody more knowledgable will be around soon xxx

Ketosis doesn't wear off - as long as you're sticking to Atkins you'll be sticking to ketosis. A few extra carbs creeping in can make a difference to the reading on the sticks but generally it's related to how much you drink - if you're a little dehydrated the colour on the sticks will be darker, if you've been drinking lots, lighter.

It's nothing to worry about - any colour on the sticks means you're in ketosis and burning fat, you don't need to see the darker shades.
