Fish From The Fish Shop

Hi,

i read in in my Slimming World book (in the eating out section), that if I had battered cod (from the chippy) but took the skin off, it would be free. Is that right?? It's still deep fried isn't it? I don't get it (lol) :eek:
 
The batter acts as a barrier and the fish steams inside, so no direct contact with the oil during cooking
