Hi everyone!
Thought I'd start this diary as, well, I have feelings
I'll post my progress in the hopes that one day, I can look back and be proud of how far I've come. I'll also post when I just want to get something off my chest.
Started my Slimming World journey on the 30th September, so been doing this now for just over 3 months. In that time, I've lost 2 stone 3lbs.
I'm happy with the rate I'm losing weight, but I just want to FEEL slimmer! That's the day I'm waiting for, and it's been getting me down. I've become obsessive over my slimming journey, and at the moment, life feels like a countdown until mid September.
And the reason for that is something that really helps to keep me motivated. I'll be going to Japan for a year as part of my degree. It's an amazing opportunity, something I will never get again, and I want to completely enjoy it, without my weight holding me back.
Added a progress photo. This was taken after losing 1 stone 13lbs (15 stone 3lbs), and the one on the left was taken the day after I started (17 stone 2lbs). It’s strange, sometimes I see a difference in the mirror, sometimes I don’t. In some photos I see a difference, some I don’t. So hopefully in the next couple of months, no matter when I look in the mirror and what photos I look at, I’ll say without doubt ‘You’re doing well Matt!’
Mind the awful photo on the left in both pics, I’m sure it’s an unwritten law to have a god awful, miserable before photo
