Greeneyes will PERSEVERE.........

Man oh man -- you have to go off to take care of the family and ocme back to find out that Chels has "cheated" again! ;) LOL

It's okay -- I'm used to being a day late and a dollar short!

Mel, I'll cut you a deal...I'll scan the boards and see who else is coming up to a 1,000th post and tip you the wink so you can grab the honour :D I couldn't help it.....honest.........Linda was on 996 and temptation got the better of me.

BTW I would rather be known as a Cougar and not a Cheetah!!!!!!!!!!! heheheheheheh xx

@Chels --
One of my all time Facebook Status postings was "Tiger is a Lion Cheetah!"

Morning all, haven't ventured on the scales for days and have no intention of doing so until Monday morning..... decided I will try and SW for 2 weeks and see what happens as SW hasn't really worked for me in the past but it does seem like a good doable plan so will try yet again. Luckily I have tons of books.

Well we actually won the pub quiz last night, there was another team a couple of points behind us all the way, then we had a bad round and thought they would overtake us but obviously that round was bad for them too...... lol. We got a bottle of wine and £20 behind the bar for next week. But.... if we play next week we get 5 points deducted for winning this week and we only won by 3 points this week so will have to get our music heads on this week.

Little tortoise seems to be settling in okay, he doesn't retreat right into his shell when I pick him up, so hopefully he is getting used to us now. The boys are dying for a hold. Off to buy it a food bowl and little shelter soon as other tortoise was way too big for either of those, he had a cat food bowl.... lol

Have a fun day everyone... xx

I am sure you will do well on it GE, once you know what you are doing. As you have done it before you should settle into it really quickly and start seeing results.

Yay for winning but why do they penalise you the following week? Seems a bit weird to me. It's a bit like my Chelsea winning the Premiership title last season, being told that this season they have to start on -10 points or something. Not sure I like the sound of it. A quiz team I played with used to win on a regular basis but at the end of the day it is just luck as to whether you know the answers to questions. Some weeks you get lucky with them and sometimes you don't.

Hahaha, he must have been one big boy!! Are you sure he wasn't a turtle from the galapagos islands???!!!
Have a fun day everyone... xx
You too sweetie xx

So sorry about your tortoise GE, the baby one sounds fun. Well done for deciding on SW, with us all together we'll be able to help each other along. Wagons roll on Monday then! xxx

Hi Linda,

If you get a chance post a pic of the new turtle.

Congrats on the win! and, I agree with Chels that seems very unfair to handicap you just because you won one week.

I hope you have a good weekend, and with so many former CDers doing SW these days, I am sure you'll have loads of good support and do well.

Hi Linda,

I thought that's I'd start by wishing you Happy Mothering Sunday frist! For some reason when I think of wonderful mothers you are the first person to pop into my mind.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Morning Linda,

How are you? Hope you are doing well and back on your SW wagon.

How was your Mothers Day? hope you got spoilt by all your gang!

Wishing you a fab 100% SW week.

xx

Thanks for your Mother's Day wishes everyone........ so I had a brilliant day, but got loads of chocolates, not sure why when people know you are on a diet they still buy you chocolate (Am I sounding ungrateful?)..... anyway I am grateful, 2 of my children didn't even wish me happy mothers day, so it was nice the other 8 did..... lol.

Am now troughing my way through the chocolate, absolutely no point in starting SW until it has all gone, so hopefully by the end of today or tomorrow we should be okay. Starting tomorrow I will be cooking SW dinner for everyone so that is a start even if the chocolate hasn't been finished.... lol

Bought some batteries for the scales today too, just need to put them in now, as the scales take 5 batteries and they just cost me an arm and a leg I am thinking I should weigh myself less...... ha ha. I wish!!

DHs job went well yesterday, he is supposed to work 8.30 til 4.30, but this week Bossman wants him to work 9 til 5. Yesterday he started at 10, but the journey home was a nightmare for him, the traffic was so bad it took him 15 minutes to get out of the estate where he works, then he sat nose to tail for even more miles, so a less than 20 mile journey took him an hour. When there is no traffic it takes around 30 minutes. Today he left here at 8.10 but didn't get into work until 9.20 which made him 20 minutes late.......aaargh!!! Roll on next week when he has the earlier times, hopefully there wont be so much traffic then.

Just so glad he got that job GE. I had a fab weekend too, offplan but with some healthy choices and lots of walking... today plan to ease myself back into SW and tomorrow if all goes well start a SW diary and get this wagon rolling. See you when the choccy is gone! (Want me to come down and help? Lol!)

I'm glad you had a nice mother's day! I didn't get any chocolate this time, but told my children that if they bought me chocolate I'd buy them celery for their birthday presents...they were a bit confused since I love chocolate (and they are not old enough to know about diets) but I said I had given up chocolate for lent (I wish) so that settled it.

I'm so happy your DH has got the job - he'll get to know the flow of the traffic so that he can get there on time most days. On the way home is a bit more difficult as I suspect he can't leave whenever he wants to but maybe once he's been there for a while he can ask about flexi time if it would help.

Enjoy the last few chocolates - tomorrow is day 1! :)

Hi Linda,

I think an 80% success rate in getting good wishes is impressive. I hope the other two are properly shamed or in a Turkish prison (hence, their inability to wish your a Happy Mothers' Day).

I am glad DH has started his new job, and I am sure he will soon sort travel times and routes to this commute situation better.

I hope your SW day went well --

MinnieMel
