Greetings to one and all

Hello all, I’m yet another newbie :)

I’m Calamity, I’m a 22 year old student and I began my weight loss journey a few months ago at a bit over 22 stone. I realised then that I am fed up of putting on a stone for every year of my life. I’ve decided that I will be 11 stone and therefore a healthy bmi by the end of 2010. I’ve never known what it is like to be at a normal weight, and haven’t worn a non-plus size pair of jeans since I was about 12, so I am adamant that I am going to change my life over the course of the next few months.

I realised when I lost a stone and a half in mid 2009 then put it all back on in a matter of weeks that I have something wrong in the head when it comes to food, and I really need to change the way I think as much as the way I eat. I’m mainly using Paul McKenna’s I Can Make You Thin system so far and it’s been very successful up until now, helping me curb emotional eating and keeping me motivated that I can not only see this through to the end but keep the weight I lose off for life. I’m really happy already that I’m back to the weight I was in my first term at university, and enjoying being a bit slimmer and feeling healthier, but I’m very conscious of and a little bit scared by the fact I still have so much further to go. Patience is perhaps not my strongest point and it’s frustrating to put in a lot of effort and still have so much further to go, but the little successes and easier targets along the way have kept me going so far.

I signed up for this forum because I feel that our family home is not a supportive atmosphere for me (in truth, I think it’s what has probably caused my weight issues in the first place) and that the company of people who are going through the same thing would be very beneficial. So I look forward to chatting to you all, learning a lot and having some company as we all lose lots of weight!
