Hello All,

Happy New Year to everyone!!!!

Been reading the site and posts for some time now, it's soooo good, thanks to all posters!


I'm nearly 33, 5ft 11ish and around the 20 stone mark (estimation as too scared to weigh self!!!) :hide:
Ideally I'd like to lose around 7/8 stone.

I'd like to do this by....
- learning more about what makes me eat when I'm not hungry!
- joining slimming world (3rd time lucky!)
- walking, swimming, zumba-ing, dancing etc
- setting some mini-goals
- being kinder too myself - there are plenty of other things to a human being than size/ shape
- writing down three good things each day


So...first mini target, rejoin Slimming World this week and find out how much I really weigh....:eek: terrifying, but at least I'll be able to realistically do something about it than live in denial/fantasy:whistle:

just read your intro - 3 stone loss is amazing, well done!! How did you do it???

Went crazy doing sports active 1 and 2 on the wii, a bit of jillian michaels 30 day shred and a couple of workouts off fitness tv... Counted EVERY calorie on a really good free calorie counting website (went a bit OCD with measuring stuff!!!)... Drank LOTS of water...

And then in April I went on holiday and it all went a bit tits up! Need to find that fire and drive again!
 
Finally bit the bullet and joined slimming world tonight, eeek! First mini target over and done with. Pleasantly surprised to find out that I weighed 1.5 stone less than I thought (that teaches me for catastrophising and negative thinking!). It really wasn't as bad as I thought....and I do look forward to learning to cook, having more energy and being able to walk for longer than 10 mins without my feet hurting! Plus, getting into all the clothes in my wardrobe (3 vaccu-sacs full).

Right, enough ranting, mini-goal planning time... eek. Best of luck with the weightloss week everyone x
