Just joined the forum today so thought I would quickly introduce myself.

I started Slimming World three weeks ago and have lost 16.5 lbs but got a hell of a way to go so thought I should join a forum so I could talk to some people in the same kind of situation.

Going on holiday next week so a bit scared but think I have become programmed to make healthier choices already so hoping I won't put much on. Even if I do then I'm determined to get straight back to it after the holiday is over.

If anyone has any 'being good' whilst on holiday tips I would appreciate them a lot!

Where are you off to on holiday? I always find if I'm somewhere hot food choices become a lil easier because I don't like to eat big meals in the heat!
If your going for salads be mindful of the dressings especially as they like to use a lot of olive oil in European countries! If you fancy an ice cream to cool off try and find frozen yogurt instead as you can almost half the syns.
Fish can also be a great choice for
Meals out accompanied by vegetables.
Use flexible syns whilst your away so you don't end up feeling guilty and most importantly enjoy yourself!
You know what works for you and the foods you enjoy at home, so if you can seek these out when on holiday then all the better for you, your in control!
If you hav the determination to get straight back
On plan when you return you can rest assured you will manage to lose if you have put on whilst away!

Thanks for your advice, I kinda thought that about the hot weather thing, as I'm going to Gran Canaria. I'm going to try and swim loads too and just not worry too much as I will get straight back on plan when I'm back and I'm only going for a week!

Good luck! I'm off to Florida in a few weeks which is going to be a struggle but I'm determined to have a good run up to this and try to stick to plan as much as possible!
Just don't forget to enjoy yourself! X
 
Hi WW! I've just joined the forum and spotted your post, so thought I'd say "Hello!" I did SW for a while and found it very good. (So why aren't I still doing it? Read my post in the 'Introductions' section and all will be revealed....)

Anyway, nice to 'meet' you and I hope we keep in touch as we both get smaller and smaller and sma.............
