Help!!!!!!!

    :cry:Hi everyone! After finally deciding to do something about my weight, having dieted since I was 14 - now 31! I started CD last Sunday. Went for my weigh in today and lost 3 lbs, 3 measly pounds I tell ya!!!!!!! Totally feel like giving up - It has been quite easy but shouldn't I have lost more? Started period yesterday but even so now I am in a mood! Am going to pig out tonight I know I am - will warn you all now I am a drama queen x starting weight 11'8 and now 11'5. Anybody else only lose a little in first week? If I pig tonight will it be worth getting right back on track tomorrow or will it be like starting again? In past ten years since giving birth have lost 5 stone - need some lifting now please guys!

    Hiya Lolapink :)

    Sorry your feeling down at the moment. Can I ask, which programme on CD have been doing for the last week. I just wondered as you didn't say and you are 11'8 ?

    I know you don't feel like you've done that well hun but honestly, I would be pleased with 3lbs off it was the wrong time of the month as well:sigh: Loads of us are affected by water retention when we have that going on.

    You don't have to binge tonight you know!! You have a choice not to although I totally understand why you may feel like that right now. Just think, if yu don't then you will keep that 3lbs off and more to add to it by next week.

    I hope some of this helps and I'm sure a CDC will be along soon to give you some advice here.

    She said that it was still a loss and I'm probably just holding onto water. Next week should see a bigger difference and not to give up. I expected too much I think.

    Yes me, I only lost about that my first week. Like you I started only slightly overweight at 11st 5lbs. I lost consistently at about a stone a month. Without doubt it is the quickest method, short of surgery! Many report that totm affects their water retention drastically, so that could be having an effect too.

    Don't eat tonight, you will get out of ketosis and it will mean a few days of hunger before you get back in again. That said, I didn't have a very good ketosis, didn't feel wildly hungry before it happened and didn't feel that great afterwards tbh.

    My mantra was - this is only for eight weeks, I can stick it for that long. You can't have very much to lose and this two months will be over before you know it.

    You've done brilliantly to lose 5 stone to date, it's worth the effort to make that final push.

    3 lb is 3 lb less than you were last week and considering it is probably water retention you are doing very well. I woulodn't eat tonight either it will just slow down your weight loss and then you will regret it. Congratulations on doing so well

    God bless you all, thats perked me up a bit! I am determined to lose weight for my birthday at beginning of August so its time to just get on with it. I shall let you know how I get on next Sunday xx

    Hi Lolapink, so sorry to hear how dissapointed you were with 3lb's lost. It's so easy when we hear all these wonder stories of big losses to build ourselves up then go into a big downer when it doesn't happen.

    Please do hold out tonight and not eat, you will only feel miserable and very guilty tomorrow. There is no point undoing all the hard work you have done til now.

    It's eating according to our mood that contributed to our getting fat in the first place. You've done excellently to loose the 5stone don't beat yourself up over one weigh in.

    Bet you notice an equal or bigger loss next week and just think, that would be virtually half a stone in two weeks! Wouldn't you be cheering someone else on if they had done that well?

    It's time to cheer yourself on and give yourself a big pat on the back for getting this far and tomorrow for not giving in to the food demons!

    Go girl - you can do it!! Let us know how it goes

    try not to be too disheartened with 3lb. Its still a loss and totm will affect you.

    Please dont binge tonight. You will regret it and find it really hard to get back on plan tomorrow. Just keep glugging the water. 4 or 5 litres if you can manage it and be 100% on the diet this week and Im sure you will have an impressive loss at your next weigh in.

    Use this forum for support. We love to congratulate you on your successes and will be only to happy to give you a kick up the bum if you need one!!

    firstly can I thank everyone for their kind words and welcoming me to this site, being the complete techonphobe I am have only just found the posts!!
    I am pleased to say I didn't binge last night, did have a couple of glasses of rose but not gonna beat myself up over it, straight back on today, very positive and am addicted to this site already! Have just drank my 4th litre of water and know I'll be to and fro the loo all night!
    I am now starting week 2 of ss, my cc says my goal is 10'4, I know my target loss isn't as great as some of you lovelies have already achieved and I take my hat off to ya x
    now I'm off to try and work out how to make my posts all pretty and get a ticker .....
