Goose's final road to goal

Hello all so this is my next 6 week update, I had the 10mg pen but dosed it 7.5mg hence 6 doses as opposed to 5 (4 +golden dose)
Last dose was probably closer to 10mg. Suppression was high! Struggled to eat first few days. I don't think I'd use a pen for more than 6 weeks. They say something about 30 days. I do keep mine in the fridge.
So...
- Good suppression on 7.5, not ridiculous suppression and some self control required which I prefer
- Did not calorie count over Ramadan but was mindful of what I ate. Didn't make separate food for me which was calorie counted because it was so exhausting in ramadan and I didn't want to create more work for me. I was very mindful of what I ate and avoided fatty fried foods.
- Couldn't gym as much in Ramadan, once or twice a week and really upped my walking when I could
-So chuffed with the drop after 3 weeks of STS
- had a couple of days off plan for eid, did not go super crazy and found once I jabbed again the temptation for sweet treats went
- do feel Appetite comes back couple of days before jab day

Start weight: 10st 9.4

Week 16 - 10st 9.2 (-0.2) FFS!!!! I was so frustrated here!

Week 17 - 10st 5.2 (-4.0) WTH!!!! I had three weeks of pretty much maintaining and the drop finally came!!

Week 18 - 10st 3.2 (- 2.0)

Week 19 - 10st 1 (-2.2)

Week 20 - 9st 13.8 (-1.2)

Week 21 - 9st 11 (- 2.8) wow!!!

Total 2nd round of 7.5mg loss: 12.4lb

Total loss 2st 5.8 lbs

So chuffed I've had consistent losses weekly, the difference has been walking I think. Even though I've not calorie counted with it being Ramadan I think i was well within my calories I think. Well I must be! This loss last week feels amazing too!

5 Months it's taken to lose just over 2 stones but I'm so proud of myself for not giving up
Putting myself first and exercising
Weight training has definitely helped and shape has been changing

I do worry about coming off monjauro but I do need to reverse diet to up my calories slowly. I need to start looking into this more

Amazing results! How much more are you thinking to lose while still on mounjaro? It's obviously working well for you, so I get the trepidation about what's next.

Sorry for missing your message bravingabikini. I dont check regularly here
I wasnt planning on posting today but I started a new pen as my last pen stopped working and I wouldn't have been able to get another dose out. So I started a new pen.
So my last pen was a 10mg pen - I was doing around the 8mg mark I would say. some weeks a little more but no more than 9
So I've made sure I've been counting cals (1200), getting 10k steps in and gym 3 -4 times a week. We went away on holiday for a week to an all inclusive, I jabbed the morning we left. For me what monjaro does is give me enough suppression to make the right choices. I dont drink so alcohol isnt an issue for me. I dont get suppression to the point I cant eat. so for me what that meant was on holiday I could actually what i really wanted rather than stuff my face with crap and not even remember what I ate. I did a minimum of 10 k steps on holiday and did 2 really good weights sessions in the gym whilst on holiday (or maybe 3 - my mind has gone blank, I cant remember). I didnt have breakfast and would have lunch nd dinner. I had a few deserts i really wanted rather than eating all the sweet stuff and stuffing my face without thinking. I genuinely really enjoyed what I was eating, cant believe I came back from holiday and actually lost - first time in my life. I genuinely did not feel deprived, I had what i wanted including chips, cheese, pizza - but all in moderation, one slice rather the 4, a handful of chips on the side rather than loads

I;ve had loads and loads of compliments recently with the weight loss recently, this last stone has really made a difference (I dont notice but others say). My goal is 9st 2 - 9st4
I have done loads of research on reverse dieting and feel quite confident in how to up my calories as I go into maintenance

Week 22 - 9 st 10.6 (-0.4)
Week 23 - Did not weigh - on holiday
Week 24 - 9st 8.8 (-1.8)
Week 25 - 9st 6.2 (-2.6)

Total 4 week loss - 4.8lbs

I am really happy with that as I was on holiday for 1 week and continued living my life. I've had LOADS of compliments too. I want to lose another 4ish pounds before I go into maintenance. I will probably work towards a low maintenance dose of monjarou

I'm still gyming and walking, hopefully not long to goal then reverse dieting
I now start my next pen

Good to read about your success with Mounjaro. I've been taking it since 21 January. I've had a couple of days with the runs, and use gaviscon if I'm sulphury but have had not bad side effects. I'm 30lbs down in 15 weeks. It's been an odd experience - not feel hungry and wanting eat, and wondering is this what people who are ordinary weights feel - no compulsion, no food noise? I'm still on 5mg - and happy with that. Like you, I expect to be on Mounjaro or similar for life. If I can shed 7 or 10 stone, my life will be longer.

Yeah it's a bizarre feeling to not constantly be thinking about food!! That was my problem stepping up on cambridge diet, couldn't stop thinking of food and couldn't stop at allocated calories
It's just a tool that allows me to be successful at calorie counting

Well done on the 40lb loss so far!!! That must feel amazing!

I am feeling different but not amazing yet. At first, I really felt the reduced inflammation but now not so much. My hips ache anew and the lipoedema shows not signs of reduction.
I am not counting calories etc as then I'll obsess with what I eat. I prioritise protein, and avoid carbs. So far so good. I don't want to shed too fast in the hope that my skin will retract.

Hello all so update needed I feel. Been meaning to post but just not got round to it.
So I've been on 7.5mg and worked my way up to 10mg on monjauro. So I didn't jump straight to 10, I adjusted the clicks on my pen and and went 8.5/9.5 then 10, not gone higher than 10mg

Im a rebel and use the pens for longer than 4 weeks and I've lived to tell the tale 😆

So my goal was 9st 4 which I then changed to 9st 2.

So stats:

Week 26 - 9st 6.2
Week 27 - 9st 5.6
Week 28 - 9st 1.8
Week 29 - 9st 1.2
Week 30 - 8st 13.8
Week 31 - 8st 11.8

I've actually been reversing dieting for the past few weeks. So I had been on 1200 calories. I've been doing a very slow reverse diet and currently on around 1350 cals. But still losing as you can see so just slowly increasing again. Taking my time with my reverse diet and not rushing. Chat gpt really helped me. I signed up to team rh and its a total waste of money for me! A glorified calorie counting app. And tied into a 12 month contract which they refuse to cancel because my downloading the app it voids the 14 day cancellation. Honestly chat gpt tells you exactly what you need to do. Input your information in, it asks you for more information if it needs it and then it makes a plan for you. I use nutra check to calorie count and I love it

I've definitely not been perfect but I've learnt so much ob my journey so far I would never have learnt on cambridge diet. Its been consistency over perfection and one good habit isn't dependant on the other. So regardless if my food wasn't on point, I woukd still get my 10k steps or gym in. And i dont thibk because I can't exercise it doesn't matter what I eat. If I've had a not great day food wise I just crack on, don't deprive and go back to my allocated calories. Feel like I've taught myself so much and can't believe im actually in the 8s!!! Im a comfortable size 10 now. I really dont want to lose anymore. Who'd have thought id be saying i dont want to lose more! I have some lose skin on my tummy so im hoping to get a tummy tuck later in the year. Just want to focus on maintaining for a few months. Still taking monjauro to help with food noise and help me stick to my calories. I'll hopefully slowly slowly dose down with monjauro. I don't mind taking a maintenance dose, I've accepted i might need to.

Absolutely incredible. Well done on such a consistent loss, it's very inspirational. I hope that maintenance goes well for you - it's the bit we all visualise reaching, but has it's own challenges. Sounds like the WOE with mounjaro has set you up well for it.

Well done, Goose.

It's really interesting to hear the "mindset" change as well. I think that's such a big barrier to weight loss for so many people (myself included!)

I didn't know that downloading digital content (in yr case using an app) during the 14 day period lost the right to cancel. That effectively means there is no cooling off period for app based businesses. Is the contract very clear?

Thank you for sharing the way you are handling getting near goal and upping the calories. I think it's likely I will also have to stay on Mounjaro or its successor drugs for life. The risks (various and long term usage impacts not known) and benefits (lower alzheimers rates, less inflammation and being thin) are worth it. I don't count anything at the moment as I've got obsessed in the past.

Nearly 40lbs in 5 months for me - and another 40-60+lbs to go. Life changing. A revolution compared to that long hard slog on vlcds.
