I've strayed into here for info because I've recently changed my eating habits. I have been a SW yo-yo dieter for years but as I recently hit the big five-oh
eek
I reviewed my diet generally (meaning the foods I eat) and decided that I want to live a lot more healthily. I've swapped to green tea, wholewheat pasta, brown rice and things like celeriac or swede for my "potato" hit. Breakfast used to be something like Special K but I'm now stocking wholegrain muesli and a locally-made Shropshire Granola. I've also taken up running - following the Couch to 5k programme - so that has made me take a closer look at my carb/protein ratios. I'm signed up for Race for Life on 14th July and would dearly love to be able to run (read run as "jog"
) the whole distance, but we'll see. So far I've lost a stone, but still a couple more to go.....
I'm very interested in eating a lot more healthily, reducing my portion size etc but I do have a terrible sweet tooth so it can be difficult at times. I have horses so I can drag myself off to the yard where there is no food, to distract myself, but sometimes the weather prevents this and I find my feet dragging me to the naughty cupboard
So I shall be frequenting the HEF as well as SW as I think I can mix and match the two....
