Does anyone know if home made marmalade is synned the same as shop bought? ie 1/2 syn per 1 level teaspoon.

If no-one knows the answer I think I'll just syn it as the same as shop bought.

Hi Denise

I dont know the correct answer but I normally buy the low sugar variety so I think as far as jam is concerned its the sugar contact for syn value.

So if its the same as shop bought then syn it the same.

You will need to syn it as per the ingredients you add to it as various brands vary in syn value.

Its made with oranges, sugar and water. Will check syns on line for the sugar and oranges and then work out how many syns per jar.
