Hi
I stumbled across this site today, I've never seen it before, but what a brilliant idea.
I need to lose about 6-7 stone. I've been gaining weight since my first daughter was born 10 years ago, adding some more when the second was born. But I began to expand even more rapidly 3 years ago. I joined Lighter Life and lost over 4 stone, then put it back on within a year. This year I started a diet in January and managed to gain a stone before I finally got diagnosed as hypothyroid in April. It's not the only reason I was gaining weight as I am a serious over eater, but it was accelerating it and making me feel very low and tired, which, of course made me eat even more.
But 2 months on and I am feeling so much better, really positive and ready to try and shift this tummy (I am the dreaded apple shape, like one of those big gym balls but with legs and a moon face, even Trinny and Susannah can't make this shape look good).
I have tried lots of diets, slimming world, weight watchers, lighter life, Atkins and the cambridge diet. Although Lighter Life worked brilliantly for me first time around, I find I just can't face it again. I've had 2-3 goes since and I've had to accept that it's not going to happen. So I really want to try something new so that I can get enthusiastic about it. I am quite interested in either diet chef or Sure Slim and I would really love to hear from anybody who has tried either of those and can tell me a bit about them. I'd also love to hear from anyone who is hypothyroid to find out what has worked well for them, and of course from anyone else at all because it's lovely to realise that I'm not alone.
I really do want to do this as I have been wasting the last 3 years of my life hiding away and I've had enough. I've got so much to be thankful for. My husband loves me however big I get, I've got 2 lovely girls and now I'm getting my health back. Now the last bit is up to me.
Look forward to hearing from you,
Jo x
