Does anyone know what the Extra Easy syn value is for ikea's Swedish meatballs? The pack has no nutrition info on it!

    Thanks!

How can you work that out if we dont know how much they weigh?

Ive wondered this for a while as if those value were for, say, 50g it woukd be pretty bad, but it it was for a kilo or something it would be pretty good no? Or is there something Im missing about calculating portions? I thought we need per 100g or portion size?

Pork meatballs with a spicy pepper dipping sauce

Give these a try they are sooooo nice ....

    Free on Red and EE

    Ingredients
    For the meatballs
    1 onion, finely chopped
    2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
400 g lean pork mince or Joes Pork Sausage Meat
    1 egg
    2 tsp fresh thyme leaves
    1/2 tsp smoked paprika
    Frylight

    For the sauce
    1 onion, finely chopped
    2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
    Frylight
425 g jar roasted red peppers, chopped
    227 g can tomatoes
    1/2 tsp smoked paprika
    Pinch of dried crushed chillies
    Freshly ground black pepper

    Method:
Mix together all the meatball ingredients. Take tablespoon measurements of the mixture and roll into ball shapes - you should make around 14. Keep in the fridge for 1 hour before cooking.
Meanwhile, make the sauce. Sauté the onion and garlic Frylight for 5 minutes or until softened. Add the peppers, tomatoes and spices, and simmer gently for 20 minutes. Whizz in a blender to a chunky paste, then season to taste.
Grill the meatballs turning regularly until browned all over and cooked through. Serve on a platter with the sauce in a dipping bowl.

    Enjoy :)
