Indian Resturant ideas please.

    I only joined SW yesturday so I am still getting the hang of things. My first major hurdle will be Friday night when I have to go out for a curry.
    Can any experienced SWers tell me what they eat when they go for a curry? Do you have a green day or a red day?
    I usually have a couple of vegetarian side dishes and a Chicken Tikka starter portion with a chapatti (can I have that as a b HE?).
    Also need to allow for a large glass of vino :party0051:

    Any advice gratefully received.

    Have a few less Syns tomorrow and just eat free food on Friday til you go out then use flexible Syns. If you can get through the day on superfree foods (free on both) then you can decide whether you are doing red or green when you get there based on the majority of what you will be eating. I don't know actual Syn values of indian food but that is what I'd do. Most importantly, ENJOY YOURSELF!!!

    Thanks Taz, I'll have to gen up on all that is free. I pretty used to selecting the healthier options (low fat etc) at the Indian. Just not realy sure how to split between red or green.

    I can't really give much more advice than that as if I'm going out for dinner I tend to just have a few hours off!

    Hiya WW, an average sized chapati is 7.5 syns, so seeing as how a HX is around 6 syns, you could count it as one, but I am not sure if you can officially, one day won't hurt i should'nt think, like the others said enjoy :)
