I have just ordered a new Instant Pot from Amazon and expecting delivery on Tuesday. Does anyone here use one of these or have found it really useful?

I have been looking at this for some time along with an electric barbecue. I keep saying to myself no I don't need it but as soon as I see someone mention it,it gets me thinking about them again.
Look forward to your review on the Instant pot. :)

LOL!! - I just dived in when I saw such excitment about this from lots of people across Google .....;)

Is it the 6in1 or 7in1 your going for. OH has a John Lewis gift card which has £60 left on it. And as I paid for his dash cam I'm thinking of using that on one. :D

I ordered The Instant Pot Duo 7-in-1 and it is arriving (hopefully) on Tuesday :woohoo:

Me, me, me! I have one and I LOVE it. Parents got it for me for Christmas. Amazing for risotto or stew type dishes. And I will never cook rice on the hob again.

Always happy to hear how other people are getting on with it - especially if they're on Slimming World too. Too many cheesecake recipes on the Facebook groups!

I have just looked up the 7 in 1 instant pot duo, really impressed... Makes my slow cooker look like something from ancient times.

Yup - I said a (slightly) sad goodbye to my slow cooker when we moved! There just isn't space for both, and the IP does the job of both

Hi - please can you share with me your best slimming world friendly Instant Pot recipes. I brought one months ago and I must be doing something wrong, everything seems to come out tasting bland, I don't know where Im going wrong with it. I've tried a few receipes from the Facebook sites with no luck.

Hi Jelly - I tend to adapt non-SW recipes. I'll have a look and see if I've got a record of what I've made. I use it a lot for steaming veg (especially whole butternut squash!) and for risottos. You do need to season a bit more, in my experience.

Thanks Torn that would be great. I've never tried it with veg, I've tried things like curry and spag bol and theyve never been as nice. I think I'm probably overcooking things. When I cook I tend to make it up as i go along adding a dash of this and that which is fine when your cooking on a hob but doesn't work with the instant pot. I need to try again and follow a recipe don't I.

I've done a bit of both! But had more success with recipes.

I cooked this the other day, which was wonderful http://www.thekitchn.com/recipe-potato-risotto-228715
Risotto's are great, because you don't have to stand around stirring them for an age!

I use mine if I'm doing grains or beans as well. I've cooked a few recipes from this site: http://dadcooksdinner.com/category/recipes-by-type/pressure-cooker/
And this one: http://www.theperfectpantry.com/pressure-cooker.html
This was popular: http://www.hippressurecooking.com/peasant-fare-pressure-cooker-ligurian-bean-stew/
I've not made any from this blog, but apparently they're pretty good http://www.theprairiehomestead.com/2016/01/instant-pot-recipes.html
