Hi everyone. I'm scheduled to have a sleeve gastrectomy on March 5, and tomorrow I start the dreaded liquid diet. I'm glad I found this forum! Hope to make lots of new friends.

Hi welcome to the forum. What is a sleeve gastrectomy? I have a friend who is waiting for a date for a band and she's not looking forward to the pre op diet either! Good luck with it x

Sleeve gastrectomy is stapling. It reduces the size of the stomach to a banana shaped pouch but doesn't do the cutting and switching of a bypass. It's a keyhole operation unless something goes wrong.
