why did your consultant tell you to do red/green? Usually they trust extra easy upon us! Especially as it's easier for families. I don't like red/green , I have tried them and just found myself hungrier and craving the wrong things. But there are people out there who much prefer the old method.
with extra easy you are allowed unlimited meat/fish/fruit/veg/pasta/rice - the only thing you need to weight out are your healthy extras, which on EE is one of each, everything else, make sure all fat is removed (preferably prior to cooking). Another thing to add is with every meal, always make sure 1/3 of your plate is full of superfree (fruit/veg) and you can't go wrong. Pile your plate as high as you want, there's no overheating to worry about - in fact a lot find the bigger their plate the more they lose! Also don't forget your syns, people average 10-12 a day, use them however you wish, I prefer to use mine on dressings with meals rather than snacks.
