Why do you want to know?

That's not a trick question, by the way. :) It's just that being in ketosis doesn't really matter. If you've stuck to SS or SS+ for more than 4-5 days (and often people go into ketosis on Day 3), you will be in ketosis. Guaranteed. No matter what a pee'd on stick tells you because Ketostix - that's what they're called - are notoriously unreliable.

Being successful on the Cambridge Weight Plan has nothing to do with being in ketosis, and everything to do with doing the plan 100%. Do the plan 100% and you can't go wrong.
 
I'm doing step 2, 2 CD products and a small meal on the evening. I'm paranoid about the carbs and would just like to know where my body's at. Xx

Yes, but why? The only difference carbs will make, so long as you keep calories low, is water weight. Cut the carbs, you lose your glycogen and water stores. Introduce carbs, and you regain the water and glycogen weight. Not fat - unless you're troughing more calories than your body needs.

So whether you're in ketosis or not makes no long term difference. If you keep your level of carbs about the same, which is what you'll do on Step 2, and keep the calories below 810, you'll lose fat regardless.
 
I'm not consuming carbs and always below my 810 cals. Thanks for your Help. I Think its because im told ketosis is better for quicker weight loss so I feel I've failed if I've not reached it. It's almost like that's what should be happening on the CD so if I've not got to that, then I'm not doing it good enough. Just my feelings .. Xx

I started on step 2 and have still had decent losses. One thing tho- you should still be having 3 products and your meal. No carbs tho
I have had a few naughty days but kept the calories down and still good results
 
I'm only havin the 2 Cambridge products as I cant afford 3 a day at the moment. This time of year is hard for everyone but we have 3 little people on top with lovely lists for Santa. Lol. So my CDC was happy to let me have the 2 products a day. I'm hoping that after new year ill be moving to ss to shift the last of the weight :) xx
 
2 and a meal is certainly no plan and your consultant should know this. You are putting your health at risk for the sake of saving money. You will certainly be deficient in nutrients and risk muscle wastage which in turn will affect your weight when you return to a normal diet. If money is an issue please speak to your consultant about following step 3 which is based on 2 products a day.
