Moroccan Chicken

I have a tagine and make this quite often.

Chicken breast/pieces.
Morrocan spices (I buy from spice aisle in asda/tesco)
Chunky chopped veg - onions, garlic, chilli, carrot, courgette, peppers)
Squeeze 2 lemons in and drop in lemon to add flavour to stock.
1 chicken stock cube with a little water (not too much as it makes own stock in tagine)
Can of chickpeas
add dried fruit - figs/prunes/apricots/raisins (HEB or syn 5)

If using a tagine just fry the onion, garlic, chilli and chicken for a few mins and then chuck everything on top and put on lid for 1 hour - add chickpeas 20 mins before the end. Use the stock and add couscous 5 mins before end.

Otherwise fry off as above add veg etc and cover in casserole dish, put into the oven GM6 for 1 hour.

Many thanks for receipe. Will have to get OH to get some Morrocan spices when he goes back to UK in November.

I think it's like a ceramic pot with a lid. And they usually come in a bright orange colour!

Note to SueSpain

Hi Sue,

Just a quick note - I saw Carrefour (Finestrat) have Morrocan spices in a mill on their spice rack, don't know if they have it in your local one.

Regards
