New to CD

Hi all

I am new to this forum and new to CD.

I am on day 6 and I am still pretty hungry most of the day. I am on 3 shakes but they just dont do anything to rid me of the hunger. I am reluctant to add another one as like I said, its not like the hunger goes once I've had one.

I thought that I would have been past the hungry stage by now and its getting to me a bit.

Does the non hungry part happen to everyone or am I just unlucky?

My mouth tastes horrible today, not metallicy but just like I need to drink tons (which I am doing - over 2 litres each day religiously)

I would welcome any words of wisdom/encouragment! :)

It DOES get better and easier....just stick with it. You will get to the stage where you feel less hungry and more energetic. i think if you feel you may fall off the wagon, add another shake or split your packs into smaller 'meals' to keep you going through the day. Dont forget to log on here to get all the support you need. These people are fab and we have a few CDC's who give great advice.

if your mouth is tasting funny then you are in ketosis.. fat burning heaven! :)

Hunger will subside, and often it's rumbling tummies without the actual hunger pangs! :)

As suggested, splitting your packs is a good idea.. along with increasing your water intake :) To be sure you are getting enough and keep your tummy (and other parts) busy ;).

Yes.. running to the loo will be your next thought but it's worth it! :)

I am going to get weighed tonight and get some more shakes as most of the ones I chose last week I thought were vile which obviously doesnt help matters.

I have just under 2 stone to lose but its my birthday on 5th April and I'd love to have a nice meal - is this possible do you think?
