I have now been doing the plan for just over 2 weeks and I also try to mix up my snacks as much as possible - it's nice to have them to look forward too, so if you can make them exciting I find it much better. I try to make at least one of mine fruit based, but then for the others I have popcorn, skips, slim fast snacks, light ice cream, muller light yogurts, rice cakes, babybels......it's actually amazing how much you can get for 100cals when you plan ahead a little. I am also a little bit of a vino queen, so sometimes I will leave out 2 snacks during the day and have a large glass if vino of an evening - a nice weekend treat
I agree with you Drunk Tinkerbell, I actually think 600 cals in one meal is quite high when you are trying to make them healthier meals. I tend to keep mine at around the 450-500 mark, as overall with my snacks, a shake and a meal bar, this brings me in at about 1200 calories for the day. I then try to make sure I exercise each day too, so start eating in to the calories there as well.
Like you I was a SW girl, but i know i was cheating myself as I knew how to cheat the system, i.e. eating lots of free food even though i knew the portions were ridiculous. I really like the structure slimfast has given me the past 2 weeks, it has helped keep me on track and I don't feel I am obsessing about food, planning every meal within an inch of it's life!
