Hey everyone!
I am new to slimming world and to forums in general so would really like to know if anyone has got any general hints and tips for example yummy easy recipes, tips to stay motivated etc..

Also although I have not been with slimming world long it is my totm and I have had a bit of a bad weekend and am feeling terrible about it :cry: has this happened to anyone else?

Hello and welcome! The bad weekend thing has DEFINITELY happened to me, haha, and I guarantee it has to most people on here, don't beat yourself up about it, just draw a line under it and carry on afterwards :) I've had a few slip ups since I started (only a month ago but it feels like longer! In a good way!) but have still managed to lose every week.

Best tips I can give is try and get plenty of superfree and superspeed foods in, especially if you're feeling like you need to make up for a bad weekend, but also just in general. There's a recipe for superspeed tomato soup that you can find my searching in the search bar up the top that I think is really delicious and may well help losses :)

Also to keep a food diary on here, it helps keep track of foods that are/are not working for you.

Drink lots of water (I'm guilty of not following this one greatly but just been informed that no added sugar squash is ok to have, so will be definitely upping my water intake from now on!)

Do lots of your own cooking if you can and if you enjoy it.

Fry Light is, like, the best invention ever.

Hope you enjoy it, this place is amazing for support and motivation.

Also, is your name from the Simpsons? If so, love it!

Take some time to familiarise yourself with this forum, it's a little confusing at first but it's a great support and you'll find lots of recipes, motivation and people who share your TOTM experiences! Everyone here is really friendly and willing to help you with any questions you've got so don't hesitate to ask - just try to make your posts in the right sections (eg. there's one for Recipes, for Syn Values etc) so you're more likely to get the answers you need :)

Take a look around at the different sections which are really helpful eg. Recipes for lots of tasty things to make and Inspirational Photos, Weight Loss Diaries for lots of motivation and menu ideas.

Also, if you're new to SW and you're still struggling to get your head around the plans and "rules" etc, this post is a good place to start :)
 
Thank you :) yeah I have been trying to cook my own meals but lack the imagination a bit so I find I am having similar things cos they are quick and easy if you know what I mean lol
I will look up the tomato soup it sounds yummy lol and yeah my name is from the simpsons lol I had no idea what else to put :)
 
thanks chipmunk yeah the navigation is a bit confusing but im sure i will get my head around it lol i have been having a little look around there are so many threads and its hard to choose which ones to look at lol
 
hi, do you have the new sw mag? there is a recipe in there for stuffed peppers, I made them this weekend and they were yummy! :D

eat loads of superfree... fill yourself up on it, it stops you craving naughty food :D

don't let a bad day/ weekend turn into a bad week.. look at what happened, learn from it and move on :D
