When people are feeling low about their weight, they need re-assurance and help changing their lifestyles, not blooming promises of quick fixes of surgery !!!!

I love how people think surgery is a 'quick fix'!!!! Why don't you just pop over to the surgery forum and tell them that!

Haha...i had a reply of the company..i know I could ignore the ad but it is such a bad advert that it just deserves a complaint...the director of the company himself replied:

We do not believe nor imply that gastric banding is
'the' solution to overweight. A visit to our website
will show that Healthier Weight is a clinic that offers a
complete range of weight loss solutions, including
diet and nutritional products and services, non
surgical procedures and surgery. We never perform
surgery on overweight patients, only the obese
(those with a body mass index above 30). For these
patients, the gastric is generally a very effective
weight loss solution. Most patients we hear from
have tried multiple diets over many years with little or
no success and are looking for something more.
I will look again at the advertisement to ensure it
reflects accurately the message we are intending to
convey.

Did i say i thought surgery was a quick fix ? ... No ... If you read my post i said:
"People need re-assurance and help not promises of a quick fix through surgery"
These adverts "imply" surgery can be a quick fix. Surgery most certainly isn`t, as being ill i`ve had my fair share of operations and know this only too well.
I don`t know what servers this board is on, but i have my own Pro-boards forum with a number of members and it is free.
