Not been here for a while and I need to get back in the zone

Hi, I've not been here for a while and my weight has just been going up and down over the last year and more recently I've had two large gains from two holidays I've had. I've also been away on several weekends this year and each time I've gained and not always lost it all. You can see all of this on my Weight Chart below.

I went through all my weight records and have just realised that since my lowest weight back in December I have gained 2 stone but only lost 19lbs which means I am 9lb heavier than my lowest weight and nearly a stone away from my target.

I can stick to plan very well while at home but find it very difficult when I go away. I just seem to eat so much bread and other things and drink every day. It was alright before when I had enough time to lose the gains between trips but I haven't managed to do this recently.

I really need to be able to get myself into the zone while I'm away or else I will just continue to gain. I love the SW plan, it's perfect for me and it has changed my life. There is no way I want to go back to being how huge I was. I have to convince myself that it's more important to watch what I eat and drink while on holiday so that I can stay slim and reach my target.

I have to focus on deciding whether I want to eat/drink naughty stuff more than I want to be slim and healthy. It is a simple choice that is up to me and sadly I can't have both.

I go away again in four weeks time for a weeks self catering. I'm hoping to lose what I've just put on before then and I will do my best to stay on plan as much as possible. I'll still have extra syns but hopefully I won't gain 5lbs this time.

I'm 50 next year in March and really want to reach my target by then. I know that it's perfectly doable, but not the way I've been doing it recently. I still go to group each week and rarely miss a session and I'll stick around here more often for support.

I know I can do it and I will do it.

Thanks, tallsarah. I'm following the plan even more closely than I used to, counting all my syns carefully and not estimating. I've stopped having chocolate on my syns as I found that I was craving chocolate and wanting it every day which wouldn't give me enough syns to save for the weekend. I've hardly had any chocolate for ages and really surprised myself last night as I'd been drinking and got peckish but didn't fancy chocolate. Normally I'd eat a whole Double Decker or Mars Bar but this time I actually fancied a Mugshot. Only half a syn compared to about 15 for chocolate. My drink last night is well within my syns for the week and I'll probably have some syns left over by the end of the week. I've also gone back to basics and I'm keeping a food diary. I find that really helps to keep me focussed.
