Orlistat at Co-op Pharmacy

Hi, All,

Just wanted to alert the Xenical crowd that I went to pick up my usual shipping order of drugs from the Co-op this morning, and was pleasantly surprised to find a month's worth of Orlistat in there - not Xenical, the Teva brand, but who cares?! The assistant told me it was "back in", so it may be worth anyone who's struggling to get some to try their local Co-op pharmacy.

It's obviously my lucky day, because I also got weighed at the doctor's and have lost another stone in the last 8 weeks - soon be up to 5 stone down, which is nice.

It was the co-op where they had stock locally here last month too!

co-op by me still out My Gp told me yesterday that they have been told stock wont be coming in until June/July now. Yet my Chemist up the road said May. Everyone still saying different things.

It's definitely back in production, my friend has seen the letter from Roche

It would be worth making sure prescriptions are for Orlistat, not Xenical, as it seems to be the latter which is out of stock, due to whatever problems Roche are having. x

My prescriptions were always just for orlistat & the last 2 boxes I got were both Tevo

My prescription was also for Orlistat and I got tevo x

That's because orlistat is the drug. Xenical and teva the brand names. So If the prescription is for orlistat you'll get whatever they have in stock.

There was only xenical til about 4 months ago as they had a 5 year patent on it but now that's run out other companies can produce
