Pasta....(sorry you have probable seen this millions of times)

Confused about pasta, i have asda white and according to the nutritional values on the back 100g dry worked out at 4pp, I have the iPhone calculator, however, I've found lots of conflicting info, if 100g dry is 4pp from the nutri values why does a lot if things say 1 point per 10 grams?? Is it to stop people eating so much pasta just cos it is so high in carbs ? Confused.com

Where are you getting the 1pp per 10g thing? Go with the nutritional info on the packet, because different pastas will vary slightly and that's accurate for the pasta that you're actually eating. Always use the nutritional info for the food you're eating if you have it, because it's more accurate than a generic one which is simply an average.

I was told 1pp for 10g of pasta ... 100g for 4pp seems really low ..

My ww leader said all pasta white of brown is pointed like that. ..

In the book it says 40g is 4pp so that's we're the 10g for 1pp comes from

Edit - sorry yes that is uncooked .. I always weigh before I cook

It is 1pp per 10g of uncooked pasta.
About 40g of uncooked pasta weighs about 100g when cooked
40g uncooked = 4pp
It says in the book :)

Good to know! But if you have the nutritional info, you're always best using that anyway. Might be worth double checking those values on the packet and that it's for uncooked, because that does sound low!
