Today I rejoined Slimming World. I went in to my old group that I originally lost 7 stone with (then stupidly regained) and rejoined. I'm glad I did it today instead of putting it off any longer, I need to do this now for me and my family. I explained my situation to the Slimming World consultant and booked the next 6 weeks as holiday from group. If I can still attend though then I will. I then popped to the supermarket to buy some fruit and vegetables and something for tea. I'm going to spend tonight sorting out a shopping list and menu's so we can do our big shop tomorrow.

So here goes day 1. I'm 36 weeks pregnant and currently weigh 26 stone 13lb. Since becoming pregnant I have gained a grand total of 7lb which I am happy with as according to my most recent growth scan (yesterday) baby weighs 1 oz short of 6lb :) I figured it was better to join group today and get to grips with it than wait till baby is here and then try to rejoin.

I've dug a few old recipe books and magazines out so will have a look for some inspiration.

I'm actually quite excited :D x

Okay so day 1's food looked like this:

Breakfast:
Bacon Roll (HEB)

Lunch:
Seafood Sticks and Salad
2 Plums

Tea:
Jacket Potato (HEB)
42g Cheese (HEA)
2 Sticky BBQ Quorn Fillets

Snacks:
2 Nectarines
Mini Party Rings - 6 syns

Total 6 syns.

I know I need more fruit and veg in there but with it being the first day and me having not done much of a shop etc and not being home much during the day I've just made do with what I could. Tomorrow will contain lots lots more superfree though :) I'm actually quite excited.

So we decided to do our food shop with it being payday. What a blooming experience that was I can tell you. Got a taxi home and the driver needs to learn the speed limits, my poor baby belly is so sore from how he went over the speed bumps and then he didn't even help us unload the car after he just sat there watching us struggle. Pfft.

Anyhow.

We called in to a Butchers shop and bought a few trays of steak and chicken and some spare ribs for my OH. Also got a tray of sausages which I will run through the syns calculator later on. Was a tenner for 5 trays which I thought was really good :) Also got me a tub of american chip spice - yum yum yum.

We then popped in Tesco's and bought some veggies, cheese, sandwich meat etc and then on to Farmfoods to stock up on frozen meat, veg. So for someone with poorly hips and an OH with a poorly leg we didn't do too bad at all lol. Spent a fortune though although I did buy a safety gate and some bibs for bubs. Everything we bought is quite easy to cook so at least I know my OH will eat while I'm in hospital too lol.

Tesco have Magical Elves back in stock!!!! Yay :):)

Today's food:

Breakfast:
Ham Sandwich (HEB + 1syn for spread)

Lunch:
Seafood Salad
Black Grapes

Tea:
Griddled BBQ chicken (made using the new BBQ Frylight)
Jacket Potato (HEB)
Tub of Kerry Low Low (2 x HEA's)
Spinach
Onions
Mushrooms

Snacks:
2 Magical Elves 7syns

Total syns : 7 syns

Today has been rather disasterous and I am way way over syns. However given the reason for me having syns I don't mind too much and will take the hit and just try to use a few less through the week.

For breakfast i had some fruit - a plum and a nectarine. I bought loads of these the other day, can you tell? lol. I then decided to get the bus into town with my OH as he has work today. It gets to lunch time and baby hasn't moved at all today. This is my 4th period of reduced movements now, and it was even noted on a scan last week that his movements slow down but his blood flow to his brain etc was all checked and all is fine but we do have to be more alert. We've also had 3 instances of where the hospital have been unable to find babies heartbeat which is a horrible horrible thing to go through so now when I get reduced movements I do all I can to get him shifting so that involved 2 small bottles of lucozade and some jaffa cakes. The lucozade was 13.5 syns a bottle so 27 syns in total, and 10 syns on jaffa cakes. Baby did get moving and is now very very hyperactive so those 37 syns whilst rubbish for the diet were blooming well worth it!

Lunch was lovely and yummy.
Salad consisting of lettuce, cucumber, spring onions, cherry tomatoes, radishes and then some cockles, prawns and seafood sticks chucked in. Yummy. This was followed up by some strawberries and a muller light yoghurt.

I don't know what we are having for tea yet. OH is off to the hospital when he finishes work at 7pm as he has hurt his leg really badly (his knee is so so swollen) and it's been getting worse since he did it 3 days ago :( I still have my HEA's and HEB's left though so may do something like double cooked jacket spuds with bacon in or something x

so there you go that is me for the day. 65 syns left for the week x

Well my OH has torn a ligament in his knee, he had yesterday off work (oh the joy! lol) and has gone in today.

Yesterdays food was:

Breakfast:
Bacon roll (HEB)
Muller light
Nectarine

Lunch:
Ham and cottage cheese
Plum

Tea:
Aunt Bessies Swede and Carrot Mash
200g New Potatoes (HEB)
Cauliflower and broccoli cheese made with low low and grated cheese (HEA x 2)
Gammon
Gravy 2 syns

Snacks:
Strawberries
Jaffa Cakes 10 syns

Total syns for the day 12 syns.
