Hello everyone.
My name is Jess, I'm 23, and I'm new here!
A bit more about me..
Since about age 17, I've been up and down with my weight but never really done anything about it. I joined Slimming World last year, with my sister and Gran, and I was amazed at the results. I lost a stone and a half in about six months, and was just over a stone away from my target. My sister and gran reached their targets around Christmas and so we all stopped going, even though I was not fully happy with my weight yet.
I owe a massive thanks to Slimming World, as I actually had a breast reduction (on the NHS) granted last year, that I would not have been granted if my BMI had been over 30. Thanks to Slimming World my BMI was close enough to get the operation I wanted and needed, and it has changed my life.
I've decided to give it another go, as I actually enjoyed eating healthier, despite missing being able to eat loads of chocolate whenever I want! Hopefully I can actually reach my target this time, I'm determined to have reached it by Christmas! I'm joining again tomorrow after work, but I just wanted to introduce myself here as it seems like a great place for support. The group I used to go to was very big, and we didn't often stay for meetings, so I didn't really get much support there.
So that's my story, looking forward to getting to know everyone.
