Twice this has happened to me.
When I left my American bf (I lived there too) I dropped a load of weight. I ended it but it was so hard still as I had to move out of our place and decided to come back to the UK. I was just generally stressed. When I landed back in the UK Mum went nuts when she saw me. I think it looked worse cause I was tired and looked it.
And at the start of my time with my fiance, when we were dating, we nearly had to end it due to his work moving him away. I lost a bit then too cause I was gutted at idea of it not lasting. But it did
