Scan bran cake toppings?

Hi everyone

i have trawled through the scan bran nutty corner thread and found the recipe for the carrot cake which I am definitely trying tomorrow. However there is a lot of material to get through and so many seem to already know that it's not referenced often. What do you top it with? There are plenty of amazing pictures but I can't find the info.

Also so what do you microwave it in? I have done my oat bran cakes in a Pyrex bowl but they always look so appetising on here and mine just look....well....damp. :-(

any my other topping suggestions welcome too!!!

Quark mixed with sweetener and lemon juice. Or quark mixed with sachet options choc powder and syn it don't add topping unless yours serving it all, just add it to what's being eaten at the time. It will make the cake soggy if left.

I use a cheap silicone round cake thing lol from b and m.

Thanks! Do you still microwave it? I really want to eradicate the soggy texture. What happens if I bake it in the oven like a regular cake?

Microwave minus the topping. They're fine microwaved.
