I joined slimming world in May and have lost 1 stone 5lbs so far. Not a massive loss by some standards but in that time I've had quite a few weekends away and a 2 week holiday in Mallorca when to be totally honest, I didn't stick to plan although I do think I made some better choices than I may previously have done.
A long way to go yet, I want to lose about another 4 stone but am thinking slow and steady wins the race. I've lost and put on this weight so many times I've lost count. Slimming world doesn't feel like a diet though and I am definitely seeing this as a lifestyle change rather than a diet. I've never felt that before when following any kind of eating plan. It suits me because there's no weighing and pointing except for my syns. I'm lucky in that my husband comes to class with me (1 stone 11 lbs so far) and he loves to cook so we support each other. I on the other hand am not so happy in the kitchen, I can cook, I just don't like to! Going to SW has changed that though and I am in the kitchen more trying out new things.
Here's hoping the next four stone comes off eventually! I don't mind it being a slow process so long as I can still have a drink at the weekend and an occasional take out, I'll be happy!
