Slimming World newbie

Hello, I am new to these forums. I discovered it by accident after Googling for some information on eating out with Slimming World. What a lucky find, such a lot of information, support and common sense.

I joined Slimming World at the beginning of October a pound under 16 stone and have lost 9lb so far. I am a veteran of many battles with my weight and actually got to target ten years ago. As I have got older my weight has gone up alongside aches and pains on my knees, back and hips.

I have (so far) escaped diabetes, high blood pressure and raised cholesterol but I am on borrowed time and determined to do something about my weight. I am taking a three pronged approach: managing my food intake, exercise and understanding how my mind affects my weight.:D
