Starting again!!

I'm new to this & am starting yet another way of trying to lose weight! I was doing SW,but I just don't seem to be getting on well with it. I've loaded the fitness pal app today...anyone used it before? X
 
I just got complacent with it. I first tried it a few years ago, after I had my son. I did really well&lost 1 1/2 stone in about 2 months. This time round, I just can't seem to stick to keeping below 15syns& am finding it hard to cook different meals for me & my husband& son! X
 
I thought I'd have a problem with cooking for myself and my partner as he's the opposite to me (he wants to put weight on I want to lose it)
I just cook him the same as what I'm having, give him a bigger portion and he still snacks on his usual snacks - which is his choice! X
