Starting out and new here :)

    Hey everyone,
    I'm tom and im 19 and from the south west. This is my 1st time doing the cambridge diet and i'm really excited, i've always been on the bigger side, but when my weight finally hit 20st 10lbs i just couldn't put it off any longer. I found a CDC and started the diet last wednesday so i've been doing it for 4 days now. It's been a little tough as ive had a few nasty headaches but the worst thing about my diet is the fact that i work in a fish and chip shop :( it was part of the problem in the first place but its been so hard not to sneak a chip or a sausage here and there.

    However, to try and keep motivated i had a sneaky weigh of myself this morning and im already 9lbs lighter than i was 4 days ago :) downside is i've had to buy a months worth of CD packs as my CDC is on a months holiday travelling abroad so i'm doing it on my own til she gets back.

    But anyways, its keeping me motivated reading all your stories and i'm determined that i won't cheat myself by not sticking to the diet properly.

    Good luck Tom, Be proud of yourself for having the determination whilst being surronded by food all day. How are you finding it?

    I always come on here for inspiration too if Im having mind hunger! :)

    Im on day 2 of my 2nd week so a new starter too. :)

    It's not been easy at all so far but now im firmly in ketosis it isn't so bad. The worst part is over the lunch period when all my colleagues are sitting down with plates of the junk food i used to enjoy so much and i just have a tetra and a bottle of water to keep me going. I've found that as long as i keep myself busy then i don't really notice hunger or cravings too much :)

    Well although my CDC is on holiday......my first unnoficial weigh in is a loss of 14lbs!!! Sooooo pleased but gosh it's been tough.

    well done tom - i cant imagine how tough it is working where you do. keep coming back and looking at your posts though. Remembering how well you have done is great for keeping your motivation going.
