Swede and carrot mash

Hi all,

Not really a recipe, but not sure where to post, so I'm sure a mod will move if not in the right place!

I want to make some swede and carrot mash and am thinking of getting some butter buds from Lakeland, as I can't imagine swede and carrot mash not being very buttery and peppery! Are they 1 syn each? Has anyone used them in something like this and do they make it buttery?

Also, can you freeze swede and carrot mash once it's cooked? And if so, do I have to do anything special with it, or can I just bung it in a tupperware and then defrost when I want it?

Well, I got the Butterbuds, half a syn per sachet, so will have a go and see how it tastes - if anyone can help re freezing that would be great!
 
You can freeze it yes. I don't use butter on mine, just pepper and Knorr Aromat, don't miss the butter at all, especially if having with gravy.
 
I use butterbuds for my carrot & swede mash.

I do freeze it when I go mash over board & never do anything other than let it defrost & re-heat it :)
