Hi everyone, I can't seem to find out how many SYNS are in lemon chicken from the Chinese takeaway. I don't suppose anyone can enlighten me?

Thanks :)

I can't find it listed anywhere either, strange. I would imagine it is very high though due to the sugar and cornflour used in the sauce. Also, if the chicken is battered rather than plain, that would make for very high syns. Also will be stir fried in a wok with lots of oil. (Have you ever seen how much oil they use?!!! Shocking!) Could you try making it yourself? Then you'd know exactly how many syns you use. I make lots of Chinese style meals using oyster and soy sauce and rice wine. Lots of Chinese veg and chicken marinated in soy sauce, ginger and garlic. Serve it with rice or noodles and it is just as good as takeaway.

I don't have an answer for you I'm afraid, but you might get a better response if you post your question in the "Syn Values" section of the forum.
