Syns on slimming world

Thought you could eat as much pasta or chicken without skin with no Syns, so why in book does it say pasta 100 gms free, pasta 100 gms free ? Seems if you eat more than 100 gms of these your incurring Syns. So what happens if you eat 300 gms of pasta or chicken ?
 
They both are free (fresh pasta is syned) you eat as much of those as you want, I think the 100g is a recommendation, I do not eat pasta as much as I used to but when I do I do not weigh it all I eat as much as I like. As for chicken with skin removed that would be my main meat and eat it most days as much as I like. As long as you add lots of speed food and change it up a bit it's fine.
 
You shouldn't eat as much as you want, you should eat as much as you need. I think they are being safe and saying 100g as that should be enough to please your appetite?? Just a guess
 
I think its more to help with portion control. At the end of the those foods may be labelled as free however ultimately they still contain calories! :)
