Tesco Harissa Paste - Syn Value

Hi

Would someone be kind enough to check the the Slimming World website for following product, for the number of syns it contains

Tesco Harissa Paste (90g jar)

100g contains

90kcal
Protein 2.3g
Carbs 11.8g (sugars 5.7g)
Fat 3.6g (saturated 0.4g)
Fibre 3.9g

Thanks in advance for any help, as I cannot find it in the directory

You don't need to check online - it's a straight 1 syn for every 20 calories

Does that rule ( 1 syn for every 20 calories) apply to all foods

It works for anything that doesn't have a free food allowance, a free food as the main ingredient.
There are also a few things that don't get an allowance even though all the ingredients might be free such as shop-bought soups, jars of sauce eg pasta sauce, pizza, shop-bought sandwiches and a few other things.

I think harissa is syn free. Im sure that's what my book says (can't check atm becAuse have borrowed it to a friend)

No afraid not - the powder is free but the paste is synned. I use it quite a lot in morroccan dishes

This is the generic syn value

Dressing, Harissa paste, all varieties, 1 level tsp ½

Whoops! But I guess that it's not too much of a syn value so I'm ok. And it has been a couple of months since I had it thinking it was free. Thanks!
