I agree with Rochelle if "tweaks" are being used as part of your meal then it should be fine. I have made the smash pizza base and its lovely, its the base for a meal so I don't see the problem just load it with superfree, HEA for cheese or syn and it should be fine. What would be the difference from having for examply, meat, smash mash and veg? Its pratically the same meal just a different way of preparing. I use a small amount of smash to thicken stews and casseroles if needed, I think its better than using cornflour? Our consultant says if little tweaks don't affect your results then carry on, if they do affect your results then take a second look at them.
