having a 2 week break going on a low carb diet for a while :)

Only lost 5 pounds this week but i'm not surprised and i'm happy with that.
Seeing as I have lost 2 stone, 2 pounds on this diet so far I think it's best I have a little break so I can maintain it a bit before continuing, good luck girls!!!

Wow, that's amazing Punkmilitia, over 2 stone in 3 weeks!!! Do you feel better / slimmer? It's hard to imagine losing so much in such a short space of time. Good luck with maintaining and maybe we'll see you back when you want to lose the rest.

Thanks for pointing that out, I must have deleted her entry whilst removing he quotes :eek:

It feels great losing that much and I do feel much better and can get into smaller clothes now, just think I need to gain maybe 3-6 pounds and stat again and lose another 2 stone after xD!!

30lbs thats amazing Punkmilitia what are you doing for the next couple of weeks kebab diet ???lmao~seriously though good luck :)

Hehe, just going back to "normal" food with fruit as snacks (ie: bananas, oranges, etc.) and smaller portions so I can get used to them and control them better. 2 stone odd in 3 weeks is crazy good, I took a pic of me with my old jeans to see the difference this diet has made already:

Still got a bit of a way to go yet but that pic does keep me going. :)

Looking good Punkmilitia! Must be very satisfying. I kept a skirt when I did it last time and I think it would have gone round me twice in the end. This time it will be a pair of trousers and I might fit in 1 leg by the end if I'm lucky.

Temping is over - thank heavens! Managed to stay 100% on the diet despite being a bit on the tired side...although I spent about half an hour battling inner demons over a bread roll - I do miss the quick fix energy boost that comes with carbs! Really pleased with my loss this week :)

Unfortunately...I'm now off to Norway for a few days to visit family and I can't guarantee I'll be reporting 100% SS upon my return! I'll try to avoid the fried cod's tongues though.... ;)
 
Well done lucysera! Have a great time and enjoy yourself. There's enough time to think about getting back to SSing when you're home. But fried cod tongues - ewww!

Had a bit of a 'week off' week before last, had major stress with work and fear of redundancy, so ate more than i should and put on 3lbs! Thankfully, i think everythings going to be ok on the work front (fingers crossed!). Got back on the wagon last week though and lost 7lb - so over the moon with that. I just keep telling myself its not a race lol! Roll on week 3!
 
Back from Norway and ready to get back on track! Didn't fall off track tooooo badly, up 1.7lbs. I tried to stick to game and seafood (which is always divine), but didn't entirely avoid carbs - so I'm out of ketosis. I enjoyed myself, ate in moderation and had a great time - so I have no complaints!

I love the reaction to the mention of cods tongues, they always get that response outside of Scandinavian countries I think. It's not actually the tongue...it's the fleshy, triangular muscle behind and under the tongue... which probably sounds even less appealing! ;) I very much recommend trying them though, when fried they become soft and creamy and moreish.
 
Glad you had a good time lucysera and well done on only putting a very little on. Good luck for getting back into ketosis!
