According to the Holland and Barrett site, the ingredients are as follows (this information will also be on the label):
Organic barley (38%), Organic malted barley (27%), Organic chicory (23%), Organic rye, Organic figs(2%)
So I can't see that it would be free.
It is 362 calories for 100g, which is the whole jar. If you could work out how many cups you get from the jar, you could use the 1 syn per 20 calories rule. For example, if you get 15 cups from a jar, that would be just over 24 calories per cup which would be just over 1 syn per cup.
