Slim for 40 - my simply filling journey

Phoenyx

Step away from the cake..
Right. Enough is enough. I've been messing around with diets, losing and regaining the same 20lbs for nearly 2 years now. I'm 40 in November and I want to be at goal. I have 3 stone to lose to reach that goal, so that's 42lbs in 34 weeks, which averages at about a pound and a quarter a week. Should be doable.

So I'm keeping it simple and starting something I can maintain when I reach goal - healthy eating with weight watchers guidelines and running. I like the slimming world programme (I've just come from there) but don't like some of their more bizarre tweaks (it makes no sense to me, health wise, that you can only have one slice of organic wholemeal bread but unlimited mugshots!). Weightwatchers simply filling makes more sense to me - with the exception of crumpets! What's that about?!). There are also some days I want to eat out and being able to switch to counting points is very useful.

I did slimming world last week and only lost a pound. Fingers crossed this suits me better. Here goes...

Good luck, I hope it works out for you. Like you I couldnt understand how you could have unlimited mugshots which are nearly 300 calories a shot! Bizarre!
