Good evening all,

I'm a new member of the forum and hoping to start the first day in the rest of my life tomorrow.

A little bit about me, I'm a 27 year old male, 6'5 and 24.4 stones, currently living just outside of Manchester. I've never been on any healthy eating plan/diet before. I've done crash diets in the past with success but nothing permanent would ever come of it.

After reading up enough to feel confident, I'm geared up to go with Slimming World Extra Easy, this fits easiest into my lifestyle and I believe it's something I can maintain for a number of months/years.

Hope to gain some good information here, from recipes, to words of wisdom perhaps.

I do not have a weight goal, or a per week loss goal, I'm simply looking to change my eating habits and see where I am this time next year. I suppose, it'd be nice to drop around 3-4 stones by December.

Hopefully speak to you more over the coming months.

Regards

Hi there M, welcome! I'm a newbie too who's just joined SW EE, good luck on your journey!

Thanks Char,

Having just completed my shopping list for all the items and ingredients I need, I'm of the opinion I could feed a small stables in fruit and veg. However, having never had half the ingredients in before, it costs a bomb to get everything. But I've got a 2 week meal plan set up, so know all my meals, along with a free food list for snacking etc.

I know I'm encouraged against it, but I'll try to keep majority of my syns down.

Wish you all the best.

Welcome MrM! SW is great really, I loved it but went off track in the end but it's the easiest diet I've ever done really. I'm sure you'll do great on it. Don't worry about snacking on super free, it's fine to do that. Check Aldi for fruit and veg, so much cheaper.

Thank you for your comments, I've loaded up on Aldi stuff, I guess it's the meats used, but can't really complain, I have three meals a day plus super free stuff, for 2 weeks, and it cost just under a ton, can't moan that much.

You've spent nearly 100 pounds on 2 weeks of food? Is that foe just you?
